Can I tell you about one of my favorite kinds of designers to work with?
It's the designer who already knows exactly what they love and exactly what they don't. They're not confused about their zone of genius. They just need someone to take the rest off their plate so they can actually stay in it.
That's Cassidy. And working together has been so freaking fun!
Cassidy runs Simply Lynn's Creative, a branding and Shopify design studio where she helps boutique brands, retailers, and creative makers build strategic brands and websites that actually convert. And here's what makes her extra cool: she's not just a designer who works with retailers. She IS a retailer. She grew up working in her family's retail kitchen store, which means she brings a real-world perspective to her clients that most designers simply can't.
With 225+ clients served since 2018, Cassidy runs a full-service studio offering branding, Shopify website design, and email marketing. She is seriously so good at what she does. Her clients rave about her.
And last year, she found me on Instagram, slid into my inquiry form (the best way to start any great working relationship, honestly), and we got to work.
Cassidy is what I lovingly call a Favorite-Things-Only Fiona. She lights up during the creative direction phase. The strategy sessions, the brand discovery, the project planning, the client calls where everything starts to click? That is HER thing.
In her own words:
"Being able to have support in my projects to help lighten my load has been a game changer for my business. I love that I still get to play a hand in things, but I have you there to help with the actual execution piece of things!"
She wanted to spend her time leading creative direction, meeting with clients, and digging into strategy. The building and execution side of Shopify projects? That's where I come in.
This is one of my favorite things about white label partnerships, by the way. You don't have to hand over a whole project to make it work. Cassidy still runs the show. She's the creative director. I'm just the one making her vision happen on the back end.
Here's a fun stat for you, friend: in just three months of working together, Cassidy and I have knocked out 8 Shopify projects. Eight!
I typically work on 2 to 3 pages at a time with her per client. She handles the client relationship and creative direction, I handle the parts of the Shopify build, and we have a really smooth process going. The kind of process where things just... work. No endless back and forth. No redoing work. Just a rhythm that lets her serve more clients without losing her mind in the process.
And because our process is so dialed in, Cassidy has been able to take on a busy season that she might not have been able to handle solo. Instead of turning away work or white knuckling her way through a packed calendar, she had backup. She had someone in her corner who could jump in and get things done.
That's the thing about having a white label partner. It's not just about getting projects done. It's about being able to say yes when the opportunities show up.
And Cassidy said it perfectly:
"I've been able to say 'yes' to more and serve more clients, which is great!"

One of my favorite things about working with Cassidy is how clearly she knows what she wants. She comes to me with a direction, I execute it, and she gets to stay in the parts of her business that genuinely energize her.
Here's how she described it:
"I am able to spend time leading creative direction, meeting with clients, strategizing projects but then have the ability to hand it over to you to bring to life!"
She also shared what she values most about working together, and honestly this one made my day:
"I value your timely communication, attention to detail, willingness to help out, alllll of it! You're such a light!!"
(She's the sweetest, I can not.)
But here's what I love most about this: her clients are getting MORE of her attention because of our partnership. When she is not buried in the build phase, she gets to be more present during the parts of the project that matter most to her clients. The strategy. The creative vision. The experience of working with Cassidy.
That is a win for everyone.
If you are a designer who loves the creative direction, client strategy, and big picture thinking... but finds yourself losing hours to the execution and build phase... you might be a Favorite-Things-Only Fiona too.
And that is not a flaw. That is self-awareness! Knowing what lights you up and what drains you is actually really important information. Because it tells you exactly what to hand off.
You do not have to keep doing all of it just because you can. You are allowed to do just the parts that make you excited to open your laptop in the morning. And you are allowed to have someone like me handle the rest.
If you are ready to do more of what you love and hand off the rest, here are a few ways to take the next step:
